Sheffield United have snapped up Arsenal striker Will Lankshear.
The Examiner reports Lankshear, who came up through the youth ranks at the Gunners, has signed scholarship terms with the Blades.
He was handed a debut by Derek Geary in the under 18s match against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
And he almost made an immediate impression.
The teenage forward came close to equalising after Forest had taken an early lead, but his effort from inside the area was saved by the visiting keeper.
His signature is a nod to the future as the club's academy sides begin to take shape for next season with players being signed or released.
