Sampdoria sports chief Carlo Osti admits a deal is done over the sale of Lucas Torreira to Arsenal.

The Gunners are paying €30m for the Uruguay midfielder, who will sign after the World Cup.

Osti said: “Tomorrow we will have our first meeting with [manager Marco] Giampaolo.

“This is when our transfer window starts. An excellent player like Torreira has left us but we will replace him.

“The squad will be competitive as always.“
