Preston North End have secured the deadline day signing of Anthony Gordon from Everton.

The attacker has joined the Championship club for the rest of the season.

Gordon is 19 years old and made his debut for the Toffees a year ago against West Ham United.

Speaking after signing his loan deal, the England U20 international said: "I'm, so excited. Preston is a massive club; I'm delighted to be here. I know it was last minute, but I can't wait to get going.

"I've heard a lot about the club. I've been told all about the family feel of this club and that was a massive part of why I chose to come here. I think that's my main reason for being here, I really want to start games and be involved in men's football consistently.

"I think this is the perfect place for me at this moment with this manager, this team, and hopefully we can get to the play-offs."
