Former Real Betis goalkeeper Pau Lopez is delighted with his move to Roma.

Lopez has signed a five-year contract after a €23.5m fee was agreed.

“It's basically impossible to say no to a club like Roma," Lopez told the official Roma website after choosing the Number 13 jersey.

“This is a big step forward for me in my career. I am delighted by the confidence this great club has shown in me: I feel ready to take on this exciting new challenge."

Roma chief Gianluca Petrachi also said, “Despite his young age, he has already reached 100 appearances in a hugely competitive league like La Liga. I am convinced that he can be very successful with us and will improve further under the guidance of Paulo Fonseca and his staff."
