Newcastle United have formally announced the signing of Andros Townsend from Tottenham Hotspur.
It is understood the Magpies have forked out a £12million fee for the England international, who has signed a five-and-a-half year deal at St James' Park.
"I'm delighted to be here," Townsend told Newcastle's official website.
"Newcastle United is a fantastic club with great fans, a great stadium and great tradition.
"As soon as I heard Newcastle were interested in me, there was only one place I wanted to go so I can't wait to get started."
Townsend joins the Magpies having spent his entire career with Spurs apart from a number of loan deals inducing time spent with Leyton Orient, Ipswich Town, Millwall, Birmingham City and QPR.
