Former Manchester United captain Antonio Valencia has returned home to Ecuador to sign for LDU Quito.
He had been linked with a move to USA or China but has instead decided to return to Ecuador and represent the team who are currently seventh in the Ecuadorian Serie A.
Valencia will wear the same number 25 shirt which he wore during his time at United.
A statement of LDU Quito's website said: "One of the most outstanding players in the history of Ecuadorian football, Antonio Valencia, has joined the Whites."
Valencia was most recently in action for Ecuador in the Copa America, but they finished bottom of their group after losing 4-0 to Uruguay and 2-1 to Chile and drawing 1-1 with Japan.
