Las Palmas have signed Barcelona midfielder Sergi Samper.

Marca says they have completed the signing of Samper on a season-long loan deal.

Last season, he also found himself loaned out at Granada and played 23 games, although it wasn't enough to prevent them from being releagated.

Unlike previous agreements, there is no option to purchase Samper permanently included as part of the deal.

Las Palmas' sixth summer signing will arrive in Gran Canaria on a Vueling flight at 2.40pm on Friday afternoon so it has been ruled out that he participates in Saturday's game against Atletico Madrid.
