Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has joined his former club Monaco on loan for the season.

The Frenchman made 43 appearances for the Blues in 2017/18 having signed from the Ligue 1 side, who he had just helped reach the Champions League semi-finals.

Bakayoko scored three goals and helped Chelsea win the FA Cup final, playing the full 90 minutes as they beat Manchester United at Wembley.

He spent last term on loan at AC Milan where he made 42 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal which came against their city rivals Inter in a 4-3 defeat.

He returns to Monaco where he will call Cesc Fabregas a team-mate once again after the season they spent together as Chelsea midfielders.
