Chelsea midfielder Charlie Colkett has joined Shrewsbury Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old midfielder, a Chelsea Academy graduate, has previous experience of League One following loan spells with Bristol Rovers and Swindon.

He spent the start of last season on loan at Vitesse in the Dutch Eredivise.

He now joins Town on a season long loan as John Askey puts the finishing touches to his side ahead of the Sky Bet League One season start at home to Bradford City on 4th August.

Charlie won't be involved in this afternoons game at home to Brentford.
