Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Serbian youngster Danilo Pantic.

The 18-year-old midfielder has joined the Blues from Partizan Belgrade and has immediately been sent to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem for a season-long loan.

Pantic told the club's official website: "I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, the champions of the English Premier League, and I hope I can show my value at Vitesse in the coming season.

"I am honoured at the faith both clubs have shown in me."

Pantic, who can play centrally or on the left side of midfield, made his debut for Partizan in 2013 and appeared for the Serbian giants in the Europa League last season.
