DONE DEAL: Charlton chiefs delighted signing Wolves striker Chem Campbell

Charlton Athletic have snapped up Wolves striker Chem Campbell on-loan for the season.

The 20 year-old joins the Addicks having made six Premier League appearances for Wolves.

He said: “I would say the style of play is my style of football - attacking and getting at players. I just want to impress and help the team.

“I look to attack one-v-one and try and score goals and get assists, which I see as my job. As long as I can bring that I think the fans will be happy. It's a new challenge and I want to take it and push on."

Manager Dean Holden also told the club's website: “Chem is an exciting young attacker, who can play across the forward line. He has plenty of pace and the ability to beat a player and made good progress last season playing games in the Premier League for Wolves, along with a positive loan at Wycombe Wanderers. He is a good finisher who can create and score goals. He will add a lot of quality to our front line."

Technical Director Andy Scott added: “He is a player I have seen a lot of recently and going back a number of years. I remember seeing him for Wolves in a game against PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) and was really impressed with him, so I've kept an eye on him. He is direct, he has got good physicality and good ball carrying skills. He is an attacking threat that can assist, create and score goals.

“He is another young, ambitious player, who has had a number of clubs after him but after speaking to Dean and understanding where he was going to be playing, how we play, the chances we create and the opportunities he will get, he was very keen to come."
