Stoke City striker George Waring has joined Carlisle United on-loan.
The towering 22-year-old striker had a frustrating first half of the season at League OneShrewsbury but should get more game time under Keith Curle, who is challenging for promotion from League Two, says The Sentinel.
Waring joined Stoke from Everton at the age of 19 and has previously had loan spells at Barnsley and Oxford, who he helped to promotion from League Two last year.
Curle said: "George is the type of player who we feel will thrive in the environment we've created. He's got good technical ability, as you'd expect from a player coming from a club at that level, and he definitely won't struggle with the physical aspects of the game.
"He's had recent experience of being with a promotion-winning team and he's ready to make a mark. His size will add something different and it will give us more options with the way we can approach games, and likewise change our approach during games, so we're pleased that he's chosen to join us."
