Brighton have secured Odell Offiah to a two-year contract.

Offiah, the nephew of Rugby League legend Martin Offiah on a two-year scholarship deal, reports the Sunday Express.

Offiah, 16, joined the Seagulls academy last year from non-league Bromley has already sat on the bench for their under-18 side this season.

But he will now get the chance to follow in the foot steps of his famous uncle, who is English rugby league highest try scorer of all time.

Odell, who is the son of Offiah's brother Chike, will link up with Brighton when he leaves school later this year and will then have two years to earn a professional deal.
