Alessandro Diamanti admits he's keen to avoid comparisons with West Ham United legend Paolo di Canio.

The former Livorno star has impressed in fits and starts for the Hammers this season.

"I never said I didn't like the comparison," he said. "What I said was, if only I could have a career like Di Canio had for instance. He played for Juventus, Napoli and Milan. I have still got a lot to learn to be at his level."
