France coach Didier Deschamps feels Atletico Madrid attacker Thomas Lemar will be stronger for a tough first season in Spain.

He cites Atleti's football style as the main reason behind the attacking midfielder's poor performances with his club this season.

"He is having a difficult season because he has changed clubs and he has to modify his game a bit," Deschamps noted.

"He is a player who likes the ball and the attacking creation and he is in a team that focus on defending well.

"It is a different requirement and he has both the potential and the quality and that's why I called him up."
