Departing Swansea City boss Graham Potter feels he couldn't let the chance offered by Brighton pass him by.
Potter felt he could not turn down a Premier League offer as he prepares to leave Swansea City for Brighton, reports the BBC.
Brighton are set to appoint Potter as their new manager after he informed Swansea he wants to leave.
News of his imminent appointment comes after Brighton sacked Chris Hughton on Monday, despite him having kept the Seagulls in the Premier League and led them to the FA Cup semi-final.
Swansea are reported to have offered Potter, 43, a new contract which would have made him one of the best-paid managers in the Championship.
Brighton will pay Swansea about £3m in compensation for Potter and his staff.
