DC United will add South African Tiyi Shipalane to its playing roster on Tuesday.

The midfielder/forward is expected to begin his loan stint with DC, joining from USL-2 club Harrisburg whilst Liberian Adam Smarte is still on trial.

The 22-year old Ventura County Fusion forward hopes to win a contract of sorts with the MLS club after experiencing top flight football with San Jose Earthquakes in 2008.
