Tottenham defender Ben Davies has admitted that a full week on the training pitch with their coaching staff is making all the difference.
Spurs are preparing for the North London derby against Arsenal in the Premier League at the weekend.
With the team getting an eight-day break between their FA Cup game against Portsmouth and this clash, Davies was relieved to get so much time on the training pitch with coach Antonio Conte.
"When we do have the time on the training pitch, we have a world-class manager who can really whip us into shape when we have that time," explained the 29-year-old, per football.london.
"We're looking forward to the week's work and hopefully it can help us out when we play.
"Whenever you have time on the training pitch, your ideas will become more clear. You'll become probably technically better knowing this is our plan going into the game. It's more about the time that we get and we know that in football now, with games every three days, it's not always easy to do that."
He added: "Our focus has been on the last couple of games, we've had a couple of good results. We're going to have a week of preparation now where we're buzzing and looking forward to the game."
