Former Barcelona striker David Villa is set to be reunited with Andres Iniesta at Vissel Kobe.

They will now link up once more under the tutelage of coach Juanma Lillo, according to Deportes Cuatro.

Villa is the Spanish national side's top scorer of all time with 59 goals and has worn the jersey of Sporting, Zaragoza, Valencia, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Melbourne City previously in his career.

Two days ago, he announced that he will not remain with New York City next season but didn't offer any hints as to where he may end up.

He captained New York City, playing 124 games with the side and scoring 80 goals.
