Danns hands Liverpool fresh blow

Liverpool have suffered yet another injury blow, this time to a young player in their squad.

The Reds have learned that hotshot Jayden Danns has been ruled out of their next game.

He will miss the Reds' Europa League last-16 clash with Sparta Prague on Thursday night.

Liverpool have many others out of action, including Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, Ben Doak, Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch.

The Reds are hoping that Mohamed Salah can take part in their coming games, especially as they take on Manchester City on Sunday.

Manager Jurgen Klopp told reporters: "Yeah, Mo traveled. He is with us, he trained two days, so full of energy. We have to see.

"But it is so good that he is back, that is really good for us and you can see in his face he is very happy. A very unlucky situation with being that long out and in for a moment, if you want, at Brentford, played an incredible game there and was out again.

"That's how it is. We want to be careful, we have to be careful, but in the middle of a super-intense period of the season we need everybody and now let's see how long we can use him. That's how it is with him and with others as well. Yeah, just good news."
