CSKA Moscow director general Roman Babaev has revisited Crystal Palace's attempts for Fedor Chalov.
Babaev admits with no replacement lined up, CSKA refused to do business.
He told Sport-Express: "It is for this reason that I said that we do not have absolute satisfaction with the results of the transfer campaign, since the main goal was to acquire a striker. And we were looking for him even before the proposal for Fedor from Crystal Palace came.
"And when the negotiations on Chalov began - we from the first day we made it clear to our colleagues that we did not want to sell this football player through this transfer window."
