Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta was delighted after his hat-trick at Plymouth Argyle.
Mateta helped Palace to a 4-2 win for the second round Carabao Cup win last night.
He told Palace's website: “I'm happy to score this hat-trick now. Hopefully more are coming.
“I'm very happy. It's my first hat-trick at Palace – and hopefully more hat-tricks are coming! Always to hear 'boom' is very good for me!
“I think Plymouth started very well. They were playing at home in the Cup, it's very difficult. In the second-half, the manager spoke, everybody spoke, and we came in very well after their second goal. When Eddy [Odsonne Edouard] scored, we came back into the game.
“We are competitive. We want to win every game and when he scored, we did everything. When the guys on the bench came on, they brought some energy to us, and it was very good.
“They brought a very good thing to the pitch. They made a difference and I was very happy for them."
