Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke feels he wasn't played to his strengths at Liverpool.
Benteke started well at Anfield but, after Jurgen Klopp arrived in October, the ex-Genk man struggled for game-time.
Looking back on his big-money move from Villa to Liverpool, Benteke told talkSPORT: "That was a regret. I don't like that term but I wish I had more time to prove myself because I could have shown a better Benteke.
"I will say from Aston Villa to Liverpool to Crystal Palace I play with different managers.
"When I was at Villa, for example, we were more like an attacking team.
"I remember we played a lot of games winning 3-2, 4-3. We were constantly conceding goals but we were scoring a lot of goals as well.
"With Crystal Palace under Roy, for example, we are more like a compact team. We don't score a lot of goals but we don't concede a lot of goals as well. Your task changes.
"You have to think about helping other players, not like how many goals am I going to score today? If I say I will have four or five chances, it's a lie. We are going to get one or two and we have to make sure we score from two chances and make sure we are in a good shape.
"We are hard to break down when we are in the shape."
