Crystal Palace are battling to reach agreement with West Brom for Nathan Ferguson.

The Sun says reports claim a fitness issue picked up in the 19-year-old's medical is holding up the £10million deal.

Ferguson himself is having second thoughts as well.

The Baggies' board are keen to cash in on their homegrown youngster despite him emerging as an important part of Slaven Bilic's promotion-chasing side.

The player has rejected the package West Brom have offered him to sign a new contract.

But although Ferguson stands to earn about £18,000-a-week at Palace - several times his current wage - he is not particularly keen on leaving the Hawthorns for South London.
