Mauricio Pellegrino has announced his departure from Alaves.

The Argentine coach confirmed the decision on Monday after leading Alaves to the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.

"I don't have any personal or family problems fortunately and I have felt very happy here as a coach, unlike in other places," he said.

"We completed our objectives, and I think Alaves have the right structure, the right experience and the ideal people to continue competing at the highest level."

The former Liverpool defender and coach has been linked with Crystal Palace.
