Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson admits they wanted to sign a striker in January.

Hodgson has conceded their squad is short of options as they struggle for form.

He said, “We were interested in a forward.

“Had the right person come along and we had a bit of luck it would have been done. But you've seen how few clubs were able to get attackers in the window."

Palace meet Chelsea on Monday night.
