Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne has sung the praises of the club's academy staff.

Clyne came through the system before leaving Palace and is happy seeing local talent still getting their chance.

He told Palace's website: “I think the changes [to the club] have gone immensely well since the first time I was here.

“If you see what they've done with the Academy, they've brought in new, top-range facilities that are admired all over the country. They've done ever so well producing young talent that they've got right here and hopefully we'll just improve on that.

“I started off at Palace, growing up through the Academy and making my debut. I made moves elsewhere and then came back, and now I'm enjoying my time here and looking to keep playing and keep improving.

“Obviously I enjoy playing at Selhurst Park – it gives me great joy playing there, the fans have always been amazing."
