Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen admits mixed emotions after a first World Cup.

Andersen and his Denmark teammates were eliminated at the group stage.

In an Instagram post, Andersen declared:

"Great experience playing my first World Cup! Unfortunately, it did not turn out as we all hoped, and we deeply regret that we could not live up to expectations.

"But we come back stronger with lots of new energy and belief in bigger things."
