Crystal Palace are preparing to announce the signing of former Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri.

According to reports in Cavalieri's native Brazil, the 35-year-old has penned a four-month deal, with the option of extending to next season.

Cavalieri played for the Reds between 2008 and 2010, serving primarily as a back-up for Pepe Reina.

He has been training with Palace since leaving Brazilian club Fluminense.
