Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has joked about bringing Peter Crouch out of retirement.

Mourinho, ahead of tonight's Champions League clash with RB Leipzig, was asked about his injury hit attack. Indeed, it was suggested to Mourinho he could buy an emergency replacement just as Barcelona are doing in Spain following Ousmane Dembele's season-ending surgery.

"I am not aware of this situation," responded Mourinho.

"I think that it is not possible to hire anyone... Peter Crouch?!"

Crouch was quick to respond on social media: "I'm ready Jose."
