Former Romania international Cosmin Contra has been named new coach of Getafe.
Getafe have turned to Contra to try and save their Primera Division status after parting company with coach Luis Garcia on Monday.
A statement on getafecf.com read: "Getafe and Cosmin Contra have reached an initial agreement for him to be the new coach of the first team, for the rest of this season and for two more years.
"His official presentation will be tomorrow, March 11, at 1300 in the press room of the Coliseum Alfonso Perez."
