Former Genoa coach Serse Cosmi has hailed the impact of Inter Milan GM Beppe Marotta.

Cosmi rates Marotta the best director in the world.

He told Radio Serie A: "Absolutely one of the greatest, not from now, but among the football managers who have existed in the last twenty years. Because it's not just now that he's getting results.

"Of course then, when you go to Juventus and Inter, the sounding board is absolute, but Marotta has already achieved results in Venice and Genoa with Sampdoria, given what the possibilities of those clubs were.

"Marotta is great. So much so that he started out in football doing other roles."
