Lecce sporting director Pantaleo Corvino is full of praise for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol.

The Croatia international has been outstanding at this World Cup, with Chelsea regarded as favourites for the stopper.

Corvino told Tuttosport: "I confess that there are not many profiles that have struck me. But pay attention to Croatia in which Gvardiol stands out, a sensational central defender.

"In a moment of lacking in the role, a young man like him undoubtedly catalyses the attention of all the big clubs.

"I don't know how much he can be worth."
