FC Copenhagen attacker Roony Bardghji admits he was disappointed to miss senior Sweden selection yesterday.
The 17 year-old learned he was ignored by Sweden coach Janne Andersson just hours before hitting the winner against Champions League opponents Manchester United.
"Of course I'm unhappy that I haven't been selected, really. It's actually crazy that I'm not there. But I'm not complaining, taking it as it comes. But it's sick, really. I think I deserve it," he told BT.
"You get a little angry, because you're just waiting for a call from the A national team."
Teammate Viktor Claesson is once again in the national team.
"We check the squad selections together to see if I'm in. He thinks I deserve it," says Bardghji.
Jordan Larsson, also in FCK, praised Bardghji after the goal against United.
"It's completely wild. It's hard to put it into words, it's almost like a fairy tale. Roony came in, aged 17, and scored a dream goal.
"It's also crazy how the whole match unfolded. They were leading 2-0, then there was a red card and we came back. It's hard to put into words, but it's absolutely magical."
