Cooper 'proud' of Forest after draw at Wolves

Nottingham Forest boss Steve Cooper was pleased with his players after their 1-1 draw at Wolves.

Harry Toffolo had Forest ahead before Matheus Cunha struck an equaliser for the hosts.

Cooper's job was under threat going to Molineux and said: "We've missed a couple of the best chances of the game and that's on us even though we've created them through the gameplan and good pressure and good quality. The throw-in decision before their goal beggers belief really. They're not the only reason why we're too many games without a win but those things aren't going our way either. The ref knows and the linesman knows they've made a huge, huge error.

"If you look at the game in isolation and the context I'm proud of my team, proud of how we played. It's a positive away point and it's a point on the board. If you put that on top of the noise which hasn't crept into the training ground because we won't let that, all you see is a team who love playing for the football club and want to do well.

"It shows how together everybody is at the football club, the supporters completely dominated the atmosphere in the stadium. I think it's not a bad day's work with everything in mind in terms of the point we got. A big talking point about the refereeing decision."

On if it felt like the players were playing for him, Cooper added: "It's not about playing for me, it's about playing for each other. There's no individual more important than anybody else. There's no hierarchy in our football club, we're all level, we're all together.

"Everyone's valuing self worth and we want to be as high as possible. There's a real good connection at the football club that's been built on taking fear away and building hope we can achieve. It's a performance you'll be proud of, a little bit of frustration we haven't won the game. The boys really stood up and were counted."
