Nile Ranger shone for Newcastle United in their U21 draw with Sunderland this week.

The Londoner made his return in front of a watching Alan Pardew at the Stadium of Light and netted during the 2-2 draw.

His coach Willie Donachie told the Evening Chronicle: "Nile's pace and power always caused them problems.

"It is great for him and great for the club. He just needs to keep working hard and get stronger."
