Stephen Kelly has been impressed by Birmingham City's new signings.
"James McFadden is a top player," the defender told the Birmingham Mail. "He has been in the Premier League for a number of years now and done it at international level as well.
"David Murphy has been injured for a while but he's got a very good reputation and he will be desperate to do well. Both of them should add to the squad and make a difference."
And Mauro Zarate? "He has looked sharp," said Kelly. "We've all heard good things about him and he's already made a bit of name for himself with Argentina.
"He was playing in Qatar which, football wise, is not really where you want to be.
"But he's come over here to play in a top league so he's going to be all out to impress, he will have things to prove.
"In training, he's been very neat, he's got great footwork and he's good on the ball, all the things you'd expect from an Argentinian."
