Conte wants Roma sporting director Sabatini with him at Chelsea

Chelsea managerial prospect Antonio Conte has reportedly told the Blues he is planning to bring Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini with him should he be given the top job at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Conte has been heavily linked with the Chelsea post in recent weeks, with the Daily Express reporting the 46-year-old Italian national team boss has already held two meetings in London with the Premier League club.

It is understood Conte's desire to bring Sabatini with him to London may prove to be a road block in negotiations due to the fact Chelsea already has a technical director in the form of Michael Emenalo.

Conte is set to leave his post as coach of the Azzurri following the conclusion of Euro 2016 and is understood to be eager to return to club football.
