Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne is backing Ronald Koeman to win this season's Premier League Manager of the Year award.
Koeman has done a fantastic job since his arrival on the south coast over the summer and has kept the Saints in contention for a top four finish, against all odds.
Koeman's achievement has been made all the more impressive by the fact that Southampton sold a host of their key players at the start of the season.
In fact one even could argue that the replacements which Koeman has brought in have provided an upgrade to the Southampton squad he inherited and the 51-year old has deservedly been hailed by many for his fine debut season so far in the English top flight.
Koeman could further put the icing on the cake by leading the St Mary's outfit to a top-four finish this season and Clyne believes that if the Saints manage such a feat, the Dutchman should be awarded the 'Manager of the Year' award.
"Definitely, especially if we get to fourth spot." Clyne said.
"Why not? He's done terrifically. He's come in and brought in players that can adapt to the Premier League. He's a good manager."
