Manchester City are upping their offer for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

And Gazzetta dello Sport says a deal is now close to being struck.

City are ready to offer €70m for the Senegal internatiomal plus €5m in bonuses.

Napoli are happy with this amount and there's hope of both parties coming to an agreement by the end of the day.

Koulibaly, 29, made 34 appearances for Napoli in all competitions last season. Earlier it was reported the Neapolitan club had been demanding €90m to sell and the player, himself, was willing to stay for the new season.
