Tom Cleverley has verbally agreed terms over a new deal with Manchester United.
The Daily Express says Cleverley has agreed in principle a new five-year contract with the club.
The deal which would see Cleverley double his salary to £60,000-a-week, is a massive fillip for Sir Alex Ferguson who wants to end speculation about the future of one of the club's brightest young lights.
Cleverley is expected to officially put pen to paper early in the New Year.
The 23-year-old signed his existing deal, which runs until 2015, last October but Manchester United want to reward him for a string of impressive displays.
