Christopher Vivell is on the brink of signing for Chelsea.

The former RB Leipzig technical director was axed earlier last month and will take up a similar role at Chelsea, says Sky Deutschland.

RBL made the decision amid speculation Vivell was in talks with Chelsea, meaning the Blues will hire the German without the need for compensation.

At Chelsea, the 35-year-old will take care of management planning and the processing of transfers.

The Blues are also seeking a sporting director.
