Chievo midfielder Bradley genuinely excited about USA development

Chievo Verona midfielder Michael Bradley is happy to be back in the thick of things with the USA national team.

The man the Italian media has dubbed 'General Bradley' for his performances in the centre of midfield for the northern Italian club was in fine form as the US hammered Scotland 5-1 in Florida on Saturday and is looking forward to upcoming fixtures.

Jurgen Klinsmann's men meet Brazil in Maryland on Wednesday before they take on Canada in Toronto prior to a duo of 2014 World Cup qualifiers in June against Antigua & Barbuda and Guatemala and the 24-year old is thrilled to be a part of it.

"We're all excited to be in [camp] and we're all excited for these friendlies and for qualifying to start," Bradley told socceramerica.com.

"If we can continue the progress that we've made in the past few months, we all feel we're moving in the right direction and there's big things ahead of us.

"This is the national team, it doesn't get any better. We have three big, exciting friendlies and at the end of that we know the real games start. We all know that qualifying's not easy but it's time to get going. There's a lot of hard work ahead but we're ready to go."
