Former Juventus and Italy captain Giorgio Chiellini has declared Gigio Donnarumma as the country's biggest talent.

Chiellini announced his retirement this week as he came off contract at LAFC.

On PSG goalkeeper Donnarumma, he told Sky Italia: "Donnarumma today is the greatest Italian footballer. With all due respect to others, he is the most talented and at international level, he is the only one who can reach the best.

"He has had many ups and downs, but he has a strong character thanks to his personality. If he had stayed in Italy it would have been easier for him, Paris doesn't help with stability, it's a powder keg.

"It's not easy for Gigio, but he remains different from the others and it shows."
