Chelsea winger Noni Madueke was delighted scoring in victory at Luton Town.
It marked Madueke's second goal in two games for the Blues.
He said, "It was still a good Chelsea performance. Credit needs to be given to Luton, they make it very difficult. We defended very well for 70 minutes and then came a bit unstuck.
"As the game wears on maybe a bit of fatigue kicks in. Credit to all the boys, three points going into the new year is what we set out to achieve.
"Whenever I shift to my right I just try and hit it as cleanly as possible. I feel like they were scared of me coming inside so I thought I would shift it and hit it clean."
On Chelsea's progress, he added: "Credit to Luton, they made it tough for Arsenal and Manchester City when they came here and for 70 minutes we dominated. It is a top way to go into the new year. It's about becoming consistent. We are going in the right direction."
