Chelsea have rejected a transfer enquiry from Atletico Madrid for Diego Costa according to reports.

The Daily Mirror believes that Atletico boss Diego Simeone approached the London club about the Spanish striker but was quickly rebuffed with his query.

Costa has been linked with a potential return to the Vicente Calderon in recent times but has since found form with the Blues and is expected to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Atletico reportedly wanted Costa to return to Madrid in exchange for Colombian striker Jackson Martinez but Chelsea caretaker Guus Hiddink has no intentions of offloading the 27-year-old who has scored three goals in his past two matches under the Dutchman.
