Chelsea youngster Jordan Houghton has signed for League OneGillingham on loan until 3 January 2016.

The 19-year-old midfielder is captain of the Premier League club's under-21 side and he has represented England at Under-20 level.

"He chose us over a number of other clubs and I'm pleased to have secured the signing," Gills boss Justin Edinburgh told the club website.

"He is a hungry young player who has had an excellent grounding at Chelsea."
