Middlesbrough striker Patrick Bamford has been named the 2014/15 SkyBet Championship Player of the Year.
The 21-year old, who has been on loan with Boro from Chelsea since August, has landed the individual accolade after scoring 17 goals in 37 appearances for the Teesside club.
Bamford beat Ipswich Town's Daryl Murphy and Watford's Troy Deeney to the prize which was presented at the Football League awards ceremony in London on Sunday night.
"I can't put it into words," said Bamford after winning the award. "I was taken aback to be nominated and then to win it.
"I would have expected Troy Deeney to win it with the season he's having.
"I actually joined Middlesbrough a bit late, I'd missed the first five games, and was on the bench and playing bit parts. It was a bit frustrating, but I got my chance and it's been a good season."
