Chelsea have joined the interest for want-away Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni. Tuttosport says Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho wants to bring Toni back to Italy next month.
Inter technical director Marco Branca has been handed a 5m budget to tie up the deal, but he could face competition from Chelsea.
The Blues have exactly the same problem as the Nerazzurri when it comes to January, as Didier Drogba will fly to Angola and join up with the Ivory Coast to partake in the African Cup of Nations.
Toni has also attracted significant interest from Roma and Genoa, but it's now likely his agent Tulio Tinti will focus on securing a move to either Inter or Chelsea.
