Chelsea midfielder Marco van Ginkel has broken down on his debut for loan club AC Milan.
Van Ginkel was carried off on a stretcher just 30 minutes into his AC Milan debut against Empoli last night having joined the Italian giants on a season-long loan at the start of the month.
The Holland international sustained a problem to his right ankle and is undergoing a series of tests with Milan's medical department.
He suffered a serious knee ligament injury exactly 12 months ago against Swindon Town. It was just his second start for the club and didn't play again last season.
